Barghest

The barghests were a species of non-sentient quadrupeds that could be kept as pets for protection. They had dark fur and skin, a large mouth filled with sharp teeth, and six red eyes. Although they looked monstrous, carnivorous barghests showed great loyalty toward their owners.

Imperial warlord Janu Coin kept a barghest head mounted on his office wall during the New Republic Era. At the time of the Cold War, the Onodone forger Gwellis Bagnoro owned a pet barghest named Izby.
