Janu Coin

Janu Coin was a human male warlord and crime lord who led a remnant of the Galactic Empire during the New Republic Era. By 9 ABY, Janu held the rank of commander and sat on the Shadow Council, a group of Imperial officers who secretly coordinated their various remnant factions against the New Republic in the aftermath of the Galactic Civil War. By that same year, Janu's remnant had carried out hit-and-run attacks on hyperspace routes, which shadow council member Gilad Pellaeon worried would attract New Republic attention.

By at least 11 ABY, Janu had reorganized his remnant into a crime syndicate, allowing himself to become the most powerful crime lord in the moons of Shakari. As a result of his own grooming of Rotta the Hutt as a gladiator for a dejarik match, Janu came into confrontation with the Mandalorian Din Djarin and his apprentice Din Grogu, who had travelled to Shakari recapture Rotta in the hopes that The Twins would lead them to Commander Coin, unaware that Janu was in fact Coin. Ultimately, Djarin discovered that Janu was in fact Commander Coin, and subsequently captured the Janu alive for the New Republic, bringing the warlord to Adelphi Base for interrogation where he eventually revealed that the Hutt Cartel was in league with the Imperial Remnant.
