Batarikan

Batarikans were a type of serpent found on the Outer Rim planet Galidraan. At some point during the High Republic Era, the mercenary Ty Yorrick was hired to hunt a batarikan on the world. However, she found that the snake had been infested by a Drengir—a type of sentient, carnivorous plant—with roots crammed into its eyes and nasal cavities, and its body leeched of nutrients. Knowing that many of Galidraan's residents had met the same fate, the mercenary opted to flee the scene despite having not completed the job, barely escaping with her life. While on the swamp planet Safrifa for a rescue mission in 231 BBY, Yorrick thought about her time on Galidraan for the batarikan hunt as she fought another Drengir.
