Dune bantha

The dune bantha was a species of bantha, a type of omnivorous mammal native to the Outer Rim desert planet Tatooine. Dune banthas were less furry then the other two known bantha species—the non-sentient common bantha and the dwarf bantha—and lived in the equatorial region of Tatooine where they had to survive extreme heat and severe droughts. Galactic Society of Creature Enthusiasts Director of Creature Cartography Ardis San Tekka mentioned dune banthas in an entry on banthas in her journal at some point after the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY.
