The Ketton were a sentient species. The assassin Derrida was a Ketton who was active during the Galactic Civil War between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire. In 1 BBY, she needed a partner for an assassination job against the Alliance on the desert planet Tatooine. The Devaronian Kardue'sai'Malloc was aware of the job, but considered it too much work, arranging for the Kubaz spy Garindan ezz Zavor to work with Derrida instead.
