Krill were small crustaceans that lived in water in great numbers. In the oceans of the planet Kamino, they were a major source of food for the semi-aquatic aiwha species, which had baleens in their mouths to filter krill out from seawater. On the planet Sorgan, freshwater krill were farmed by the inhabitants of an isolated village, and were used to brew the drink spotchka.
