Monzu

The monzu was a predatory species found on the planet Zolan. As a result of a spike of solar radiation from Zolan's sun, the monzu and various other species on the world developed the ability to alter their skin color and change their body shape as an adaptation. Many of Zolan's native creatures died out during the spike, but those that survived until the radiation levels dropped again, like the monzu, were dramatically shaped by the event.
