Selonians were an otter-like sentient bipedal humanoid species from the world of Selonia. Selonians had a short muzzle tipped with a flat rhinarium nose, and bodies covered in fur that could be a range of colors from chestnut brown, to beige, to white, and was not uncommon to be striped. Following behind their tall and lanky 2 meter high bodies was a thick and sleek tail. They had particularly light–sensitive eyes, which meant that they were especially vulnerable to the weapons known as flashsticks, which emitted a bright flash of light to stun their target when used. Selonians were able to smell strong emotions by picking up on pheromones released by beings around them. Even with lack of vocal or body expressions, they could detect emotions like anger or shame.

The type of weapon known as the shard shooter was a unique Selonian slugthrower that used electromagnetic propulsion to fire razor–sharp crystalline ammunition. It was popular with local defense forces on Selonia, but those taking it offworld were often questioned and hassled about the nature of the weapon.

Leebon was a Selonian Jedi Master in the High Republic Era.
