A song sparrow was a type of colorful sparrow endemic to the planet Coruscant. Ky Narec, a Jedi Knight, enjoyed feeding and watching song sparrows and crown finches fly around the Great Tree, located in the Jedi Temple training ground in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Around 23 BBY, Narec's voice told Sith apprentice Asajj Ventress that when he was off-world, he missed feeding the birds that lived in the Jedi Temple. Song sparrows were regularly seen to flutter around the Temple's Great Tree.
