A crown finch was a type of bird. Jedi Knight Ky Narec fed crown finches and song sparrows, another type of bird, that lived in the training ground of the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant. Around 23 BBY, Narec's voice told his former Padawan, Asajj Ventress, that what he missed the most of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant was feeding the birds, which fluttered with their various colors around the Great Tree within the temple.
