The Backbreaker was an Imperial Lancer-class frigate in service to Warlord Zsinj and part of his third group. It was present, alongside the rest of the group, at the Battle of Levian Two after being called in to reinforce Zsinj's first group in order to ambush General Solo's fleet.
It was again present at Selaggis, having once more joined Zsinj's Iron Fist in battle against the New Republic forces. The third group was moving through the systems asteroid belt, with Backbreaker in the centre of the line, in an attempt to reach the Executor-class Super Star Destroyer when Solo's fleet engaged them from the rear.
