The Fourth Fleet was a numbered fleet within the naval forces of the Republic Military, and was commanded by Jedi High Council member and Jedi General Plo Koon. The Fourth Fleet included General Koon's small battle group, consisting of three Venator-class Star Destroyers, including Koon's flagship, the Triumphant. The Fourth Fleet was part of the larger Open Circle Fleet.
Created in 22 BBY, the Fourth Fleet was one of multiple Republic fleets scrambled to counter the Confederate Subjugator-class heavy cruiser, the Malevolence. However, despite its efforts, much of the Republic Fourth Fleet was lost to the Malevolence, including Plo Koon's fleet during the Battle of Abregado. The Malevolence was eventually destroyed during the Battle of the Kaliida Nebula by the Open Circle Fleet.
