Ilum battle group

During the Imperial Era, a small battle group of the Imperial Navy of the Galactic Empire was stationed in orbit above Ilum, serving as a planetary blockade. The battle group was led by Captain Malthegn aboard the Hoplite, a Gladiator-class Star Destroyer. The battle group also consisted of several small frigates and gunboats. By the time of the Galactic Civil War after the Battle of Hoth, Rebel Alliance officer and Jedi-in-training Luke Skywalker slipped past the blockade to investigate Ilum, which by then consisted of at least three Imperial-class Star Destroyers.
