The Prosperous was a Providence-class Dreadnought manufactured in the factories on the planet Pammant by the Quarren builders of the Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps. The dreadnought served in the naval forces of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars against the Galactic Republic.
In 19 BBY, the Prosperous participated in an unprecedented assault on Coruscant, the Core Worlds capital planet of the Republic alongside a large Separatist fleet commanded by Kaleesh General Grievous in an attempt to kidnap Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. However, during the destroyer's engagements with the Republic, the Prosperous was captured by a Republic boarding party from the Star Destroyer Impavid led by Jedi General Saesee Tiin.
