Pammant was a planet colonized by members of the Quarren species. By the Republic Era, several Quarren engineers resided there. At Pammant, the Quarren formed both Free Dac Volunteers Engineering Corps and Pammant Docks shipbuilding corporations and factories that belonged to the former. By 22 BBY, the planet was brought under the affiliation of the Confederacy of Independent Systems and served as the place of construction of new starship classes, including the Providence-class Dreadnought and Subjugator-class heavy cruiser. During the Clone Wars, Pammant and its factories continued to build ships in order to give the Confederacy an acceptable armada.
