Legends. This article is part of Legends: the expanded-universe stories that Lucasfilm set apart from canon in 2014.

The DF.9 was an anti-infantry battery produced by Golan Arms. Used extensively throughout the Galactic Civil War by both the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic, the DF.9 was used to protect vital military installations. The Alliance installed several DF.9s as part of their defensive emplacements protecting Echo Base on the planet Hoth. During the Battle of Hoth, the arrayed DF.9s were not enough to stop the advance of the Empire's All Terrain Armored Transports.
