Fingerprint masque
Canon Legends version → Linked from 2 articles
Fingerprint masques were thin, liquid-crystal biochemical screens that could create random fingerprint patterns or mimic the fingerprints of others. They could fit on an individual's fingertips and were able to fool most basic fingerprint scanners. Some advanced models could be embedded with synthetic DNA information to trick more sophisticated sensors. Fingerprint masques cost 1,000 credits on the market and were sold in sets tailored for most species.
