Hand of Siberus

The Hand of Siberus was an ancient forbidden Sith gauntlet that dated back to the Sith Wars. It was a Sith artifact kept by the Jedi Order in a vault inside the Final Protector statue on Jedha. It shared its name with an individual, who, according to legend, was a Sith known as Darth Siberus. During the Battle of Jedha in 382 BBY, the Sephi Tey Sirrek took possession of the gauntlet and the Path of the Open Hand's Leveler fell to its power. Sirrek's use of the gauntlet saved the life of the Jedi Vildar Mac but Sirrek suffered memory loss as a result of its use. The artifact was then moved into an archive in the Temple of the Kyber.

Less than a year later, when the Naldi Freewielder Zervo began terrorizing citizens of Jedha City's Wayfarer Quarter with his abilities to manipulate fire, Tey Sirrek broke into the archive to steal the gauntlet once more. Although he subdued Zervo and saved the Fallanassi representative Sirené Taran from Zervo's flames, the power of the gauntlet overtook the Sephi. Vildar Mac subdued Sirrek, now his romantic partner, and convinced him to remove the gauntlet. Sirrek faced penalties for his actions, but Mac eventually taught the Sephi how to safely wield the gauntlet and use it for good.
