K220 heavy-duty peripheral processor

The K220 heavy-duty peripheral processor was a sensor package that was manufactured by Wickstrom. It was designed to allow the off-loading of tasks during data transmissions.

In 19 ABY, during the crisis caused by the discovery of the Caamas Document, which implicated members of the Bothan species in the destruction of the planet Caamas, New Republic Crypt Chief Zakarisz Ghent volunteered to accompany Imperial General Hestiv to attempt to recover an original copy of the document from a station orbiting the planet Yaga Minor run by the Ubiqtorate, the unit that oversaw Imperial Intelligence. Ghent was provided with a room and equipment to aid him in his work, including five K220 heavy-duty peripheral processors. Ghent used the K220s to perform a complex analysis, the results of which he transferred to a Masterline-70 OcTerminal to continue his work.
