Plasma module

A plasma module was a type of blaster module that allowed a blaster to fire a plasma bolts. By 3 ABY, the thief Kay Vess had begun to use a light plasma module for her VM-19 heavy blaster pistol.

That year, Vess constructed two additional plasma modules after receiving a illegal modified particle converter from the BX-series droid commando ND-5 and a modified galven circuit from the human scoundrel Lando Calrissian. The particle converter allowed the blaster to fire lighter plasma bolts at a higher rate where as the galven circuit.
