X-8 Night Sniper

The X-8 Night Sniper was a model of blaster pistol manufactured by BlasTech Industries that featured a computerized scope and silent mode operation. The scope featured a thermal vision that can reveal humanoids in most weather conditions like smoke and dioxis, and different times of day. X-8 Night Snipers were used by both the Galactic Empire and the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War.

The bounty hunters Latts Razzi and C-21 Highsinger were known to use such pistols during the Clone Wars. During a Mission to Utapau, Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker used two X-8 Night Snipers to fight off Sugi arms dealers. During his time as a smuggler, Lando Calrissian also used an X-8 Night Sniper to fight the crime boss Azmorigan and his henchmen on the planet Lothal. He continued to use the X-8 working as a general for the Rebel Alliance and the subsequent New Republic.
