Jafan

Jafan was a male member of the Naboo, the human inhabitants of the planet Naboo. Jafan served as a general during the era of the planet's history known as the Time of Suffering, which was characterized by brutal wars between human city-states. Through force of will and force of arms, he united the city-states and ushered in a new era: the Great Time of Peace. Jafan became king and rose to prominence as the first ruler of the era.

In 832 BBY during the Great Time of Peace, the Naboo founded the city of Theed on the banks of the river Solleu and under King Jafan's rule it became capital of Naboo. That same year, Jafan directed the people of the newly founded Theed to construct the Theed Royal Palace as the seat of the Royal House of Naboo, with the king building a small temple and its adjoining chamber, which was known as the Turret Room, in the palace.
