The Royal family of Pergitor ruled over the planet Pergitor as a despotism for at leasts 70 years until the world was claimed by the Church of Infinite Perception in 22 BBY, just before the start of the Clone Wars. Their reign banned open dissense and was characterized by very strict conservative rules, inspired by the philosophy of Jesa Corporation's founder from which the family descended. Around 37 BBY many young Pergitorians sparked a liberal movement on the planet and even some of the younger members of the royal family took part in it. They started watching prohibited holodramas and smuggling illegal goods such as synthetic drugs, shifting public opinion in favor of a less strict way of living. This led to a reform of the law by the royal family, which for 15 years granted freedom to Pergitor's inhabitants.

After the coup in 22 BBY the royal family was exiled from Pergitor by The Preceptor, leader of the Church at that time.
