A battle at the planet Orinda occurred in 10 ABY as part of the offensive planned by the reborn Emperor Palpatine against the New Republic to reconquer the Core Worlds. Those assaults were executed by the reunified Imperial warlords and loyal Imperial forces prior to the launch of Operation Shadow Hand.
Grand Moff Ardus Kaine was charged with reconquering the Northern Dependencies, including the northern part of the Core. This battle allowed the Empire to control Orinda and attack Ord Mantell.
