Capture of Boolan and Sskeer

The Nihil Minister of Advancement Baron Boolan and the Jedi Master Sskeer were captured in a skirmish on an asteroid base by a crew of pirates led by the Gloovan Muglan Tarantyne. Sskeer had previously been rescued by his former Padawan, Jedi Master Keeve Trennis and her crew from Boolan's experimentations. The Jedi crew had captured Boolan, seized his Nameless control unit, and took control of a pair of cybernetically-enhanced Nameless. As the Kotabi bond-twins and Jedi Knights Terec and Ceret worked with Jedi Master OrbaLin to infiltrate Boolan's heavily encrypted research files, Sskeer and former Nihil Tempest Runner Lourna Dee worked to move the Nameless as far from the Force-sensitive members of their party as possible. When they tried to place the creatures in an airlock, however, Dee realized that the systems were unresponsive. She quickly recognized Nihil tactics, and the base was soon attacked by a cadre of enforcer droids led by the pirate captain Muglan Tarantyne, a former member of Dee's Tempest. As the pressure of the attack grew, Sskeer used the Nameless control to guide the creatures in their fight against the enforcer droids, but they were stunned, leaving Sskeer to eliminate many of the other droids. Meanwhile, the other members of the Jedi crew downloaded Boolan's encrypted files onto the scout droid SK-0T and fought their way to their shuttle, Boolan as their prisoner in tow. The pirates destroyed their shuttle, and in the explosion's aftermath, apprehended Boolan. Two of the pirates, Renga and Gabb realized that the Nameless control made Sskeer vulnerable to the creatures' pain, and exploited that to capture the large Jedi.

The Jedi crew chased after Tarantyne's crew in Boolan's Cloudship, the Dalnan Dawn, hoping to rendezvous with the Ataraxia. In their way, however, all three ships were attacked by a swarm of Nihil scav droids. Though Tarantyne managed to jump to hyperspace, the Jedi had to crash land into the Ataraxia hangar bay.
