Second Battle of Cyclor

The Second Battle of Cyclor, also known as the Battle of Cyclor, or as the Skirmish over Cyclor, was a Nihil attack on the Cyclor Shipyards in 231 BBY. It occurred not long after the Battle of Valo, where the Dowutin Tempest Runner Pan Eyta left his fellow Tempest Runner Lourna Dee for dead when Republic reinforcements arrived. Dee survived and returned to the Nihil base on Grizal, where she witnessed Eyta be poisoned by Marchion Ro, the Eye of the Nihil, for challenging his authority and for his previous failures. Dee seemingly saved Eyta with an injection of cypanid, a substance from Ryloth that did not cure him but instead prolonged his agony, and convinced him to launch a second attack on the Republic.

Eavesdropping on a communication from Senator Tia Toon to the Cyclor Shipyards, Eyta learned that the Jedi Order was withdrawing its forces to Hetzal Prime and Starlight Beacon, and so chose to attack the shipyards—only for him to find an entire battle fleet waiting for his cruiser, the Elegencia, when it arrived. The Republic had recently discovered that the Nihil were tapping into their communications and laid a false trail to ambush the Nihil forces, and Dee had also gone behind Eyta's back and convinced the majority of his Tempest to abandon him as he had done to them on Valo. Upon realizing that he was betrayed, the severely-ill Eyta fled the Elegencia a secret escape pod and left the rest of his forces to be wiped out by the Republic.
