During the Galactic Civil War in 5 ABY, New Republic forces led by Twi'lek General Hera Syndulla aboard the Star Destroyer Deliverance had managed to track the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing to Ciaox Verith system during their hunt for the fighter wing, where they engaged one another in a brief skirmish.
However, during the battle, the 204th fighter wing, along with Colonel Soran Keize aboard the bulk freighter Yadeez, managed to escape Syndulla and her forces, but not before losing a single TIE fighter amid the battle.
