Ertrax system

The Ertrax system was located in Wild Space and contained the planet Ertrax, which was home to the Ertraxi species. At some point, a Galactic Republic starship crash-landed on Ertrax with no survivors. The Ertraxi found the wrecked vessel and eventually repaired it flew it off-world in order to search out and contact other species.

Shortly after that, a group of explorers charting the far reaches of the Minos Cluster found a trail of Cronau radiation left behind by the starship and followed it, leading them to discover Ertrax and make first contact with the aliens. When the group brought news of its discovery back to the wider galactic community, the explorers learned that the information spurred many opportunistic traders, slavers, and would-be conquerors to travel to the Ertrax system in order to exploit the newly-found planet.
