Mauphin system

The Mauphin system was a minor star system situated in the Core Worlds, in the trailing direction from the planet Daupherm in the Core Worlds' Daupherm system. A century prior to the Galactic Civil War that was fought between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance in 2 BBY–4 ABY, the captain of the starship Astral Jester, hoping to lay a claim on a hyperspace route leading through the Deep Core, filed dozens of well-documented yet erroneous flight plans, including one detailing a route from Coruscant, the Core Worlds capital world of the Galactic Republic, to the Mauphin system. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, the flight plan mentioning the star system had come to rest in the Archive of Phelar University on the Outer Rim Territories planet Eriadu.

At one point during that conflict, a group of Force-sensitive individuals researching the history of the Astral Jester in the Archive discovered the flight record.
