Rentaxius VIII

Rentaxius VIII was the eighth orbit of the Rentaxius system. It was situated in the Inner Rim Territories near the Perlemian Trade Route at the coordinates O-8 on the Standard Galactic Grid. In 4 ABY, the New Republic's Alphabet Squadron attempted to intercept and capture an Imperial freighter at Rentaxius VIII that they believed to have been resupplied at the planet Pandem Nai.

Alphabet Squadron surrounded the freighter, and Alphabet Leader Yrica Quell demanded its surrender, with the starship's captain complying before being murdered by his own crew. The Imperial vessel, under a new commander, then opened fire on the squadron. Alphabet Squadron responded, and the pilots Chass na Chadic and Nath Tensent disabled the vessel thereafter, but the RZ-1 A-wing interceptor pilot Wyl Lark accidentally shot its oxygen generator, forcing Alphabet Squadron to evacuate the surviving crew and tow them away in escape pods. In 9 ABY, Rentaxius VIII was part of the New Republic's territories.
