The Waymancy system was located in the Northern Dependencies portion of the Inner Rim. It shared its name with the region known as the Waymancy Hollow, inside which the Sisters of the Machinesmith studied and improved upon Galactic Republic technology for a millennium leading up to 7811 BBY.
That year, the organization known as the Signatories of Waymancy fought the Republic in a conflict known as the Waymancy Storm. By the conclusion of the war, in which the Republic emerged victorious, the object known as the Waymancy bridal seat had been reduced to a hyperspace sinkhole. The Waymancy system later fell within the borders of the New Republic between 12 ABY and 13 ABY.
