A Fleet Commander, or a fleet group commander, was a position given to an officer. During the Clone Wars, Captain Wilhuff Tarkin served as the fleet commander of Jedi General Even Piell's fleet group. During the Galactic Civil War, Hellip served as a fleet commander and took over local operations following General Hera Syndulla's battle with the loyalist forces of the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing. A Mandalorian of the Mandalorian resistance was a captain and held the position of fleet commander for the Mandalorian fleet.
