Rock paste

Rock paste was a durable material that could set as hard as rock. It was created by the Geonosian species of the planet Geonosis, who made it by mixing stone powder with the secretions of domesticated phidna parasites, including their dung. The paste provided a smooth finish to surfaces, and Geonosians used it to fashion their buildings and spires, with rock paste also being mixed with phidna waste to create architecture that pleased Geonosian rulers.

Structures made with rock paste included a vent above the Petranaki Arena and the brown walls of the conference room in the Stalgasin hive where the Executive Separatist Council met prior to the First Battle of Geonosis in 22 BBY. An unfinished holding cell where the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi was kept in the spire had unfinished rock walls that were notably bereft of a rock paste finish.
