"Chessa's Doom" is a short story written by Peter M. Schweighofer and illustrated by John Paul Lona. It was originally published in Star Wars Adventure Journal 1 in February 1994 by West End Games before being made available online at Hyperspace: The Official Star Wars Fan Club in January 2008
"Chessa's Doom" is the first of five collaborations by Schweighofer and Lona, which span the first five issues of the Adventure Journal. The stories all intersperse narrative text by Schweighofer with wordless comics by Lona. Their frame story follows the Black Curs mercenaries on the planet Wroona, while much of "Chessa's Doom" takes the form of a flashback from the point of view of leader Dirk Harkness.
