The High Republic 8 is the eighth issue of the comic book series Star Wars: The High Republic. The issue was written by Cavan Scott, illustrated by Ario Anindito and Annalisa Leoni, and published by Marvel Comics on August 11, 2021. The final part of the three-issue Heart of the Drengir arc, Chapter III: The Roots of Terror sees Jedi Knight Keeve Trennis join the Jedi contingent in battling the Drengir on Mulita. The issue ends with the defeat of the Drengir's Great Progenitor, but Marshall Avar Kriss and her Jedi forces are dismayed to find that, while they were fighting the Drengir, the Nihil pirates attacked the Republic Fair on Valo, an event first depicted in the novel The High Republic: The Rising Storm. The attack on Valo is the inciting factor for the next arc, The Shadow of the Nihil.
