Infinite Coil

The Infinite Coil was a Dark side of the Force-based cult aligned with the Confederacy of Independent Systems that existed during the Clone Wars. It was led by the charismatic Kundri Fathom and sought to infest the galaxy with a plague which improved the physical strengths of those infected. The cult maintained its own troops, all of whom were infected with the plague. Fathom was assisted by Visser, her most capable and dedicated fighter, and the Separatist ST-series super tactical droid Typhon, who was obsessed with the plague. In operations, Visser took direct leadership over cult troops and led them into battle.

The Infinite Coil conquered the mining hub of Luunata on behalf of the Separatists, usurping control from its Ore-Baroness, Jae Mordant. Left dispossessed, Mordant was left eager to reclaim her control over Luunata. Around 20 BBY, a mission to investigate and fight the cult was assigned to the independent covert special forces group Zero Company, who were assigned the mission by a Republic intelligence officer and Mordant. Mordant was very involved in pushing the Republic to hire Zero Company for the mission and directly joined the team as she looked for ways to reclaim Luunata.
