Around 3653 BBY, near the end of the Great Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire, a strike team of Jedi infiltrated the stronghold of the Sith Lord Darth Azamin. The mission was arranged by agents of Azamin's rival Darth Decimus, and saw the Jedi successfully kill Azamin, though they all died themselves when the starship they used to escape exploded due to sabotage.
