Third Legion

The Third Legion was a military unit active during the Clone Wars, a galaxy-spanning conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems that took place from 22 BBY to 19 BBY. In 21 BBY, the Inner Rim astronomical object Balith was in the middle of large-scale civil war prompting its people to request aid from the Republic and the Jedi Order. The Jedi High Council responded by dispatching Jedi General Anakin Skywalker to Balith to command the Third Legion and aid the people of Balith. Skywalker along with Clone Captain Rex immediately boarded a Nu-class attack shuttle to travel to Balith from he planet Coruscant.
