Resistance Reborn is a canon novel written by Rebecca Roanhorse. It is part of the Journey to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker publishing program, and it was first published on November 5, 2019 by Del Rey, with an audiobook version releasing on the same day. Resistance Reborn is set immediately after the events of the 2017 film Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, and it serves as a prequel to Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker, illustrating the beginning of the Resistance's way to regain military power by assembling allies, new leaders, pilots, and ships after the defeat at the Battle of Crait.
