Fathership

A fathership was a type of starship operated by a species of extragalactic googly-eyed aliens. The vessel was huge, larger than an Imperial-class Star Destroyer, the metal hull was covered in winking, colored lights, and its presence was capable of blocking out the stars behind it. Fatherships were powerful ships, and were capable of travelling between galaxies.

A fathership was on the final leg of a tour of the galaxy during the Galactic Civil War when they happened across a battle between an Imperial Star Destroyer and an Alliance corvette. Misinterpreting the battle as a sporting contest, the alien crew did not like the mismatch between the two ships. Dispatching droids, the crews of both ships were stunned and taken aboard the fathership to compete in a series of fairer competitions.
