Escarte

Escarte was a world in the Escarte system within the Keldrath sector of the Outer Rim and the Slice. It was situated in grid square T-6 of the Standard Galactic Grid. Escarte was a strategic world and stronghold for the Separatist Alliance, situated near the Perlemian Trade Route where the Commerce Guild maintained their major interests. Accordingly, the elite Escarte Guard served as bodyguards for high-ranking Guild personnel. Around of the time of the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and Separatist Alliance that took place between 22 BBY and 19 BBY, where the Guild sided with the Confederacy, Escarte was placed under the protection of several Diamond-class cruisers and Recusant-class light destroyers, which were also supported by Guild corvettes and bombers. During the Clone Wars, the Commerce Guild operated ore facilities on the planet, which were protected by Gossam Commandos. Escarte was mentioned in an entry on the Gossam Commandos that was written by ARC trooper Muzzle and published in the survival compendium "Neyo's Almanac of Clankers."
