Mirak Major was a planet located in the Mirak Major system in the Trailing Sectors portion of the Inner Rim. Between 22 BBY and 19 BBY, during the Clone Wars, the planet's mega-volcanoes were triggered abruptly by the Confederacy of Independent Systems, leading General Gentis of the opposing Galactic Republic to securely evacuate six billion individuals from its surface.
Later, in 19 BBY, following the Clone Wars, Cadet Laurita Tohm remembered the heroicness of Gentis on Mirak Major as the man lectured him and hundreds of other Imperial officers on the Core Worlds planet Coruscant as they graduated from their associated Imperial academies.
