New Plympto was a Core Worlds astronomical object that was the homeworld of the Nosaurian species and a safe world for Senator Mon Mothma's organized rebellion against the Galactic Empire, which was later officialized as the Rebel Alliance. The Alliance installed a package on a HoloNet satellite near New Plympto, which intercepted a high-priority message between the Imperials General Hurst Romodi and Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin in 1 BBY.
