A group of tumbling asteroids was situated in the Pindra system, a part of the Slice portion of the Inner Rim. In 5 ABY, as part of the Galactic Civil War, the New Republic navy officer Willham Burke prepared a trap for the fleet of Admiral Ledre Okins of the Galactic Empire. Burke had a grav trap laid among the asteroids of the Pindra system and tricked Okins into diverting key units of his fleet there. The Imperial forces were ensnared, and Burke went on to defeat Okins in the Colla system.
