Sarkhai

Sarkhai was a world located in the Sarkhai system within the M'shinni sector of the Mid Rim Territories. It was situated in grid square M-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid. Sarkhai was covered in thick woodlands and was the homeworld of the Sarkhai species, known for painting their faces to protect themselves from predators that lurked in the forests. According to the Artiodac chef Strono Tuggs, the world was perfect for searching for all kinds of unique flora, including algae. Sarkhai shared its name with the starship Moon of Sarkhai, used by the Path of the Open Hand cult in 382 BBY.

Some time between 34 ABY and 35 ABY, Tuggs traveled to Sarkhai and unearthed the ingredients necessary to cook Sarkhai Crisps. Tuggs later included the recipe for the Crisps as well a retelling of his journey to Sarkhai in his cookbook The Ultimate Cookbook that was published in 35 ABY.
