Bark rats were stoutly built rats native to the planet Cholganna. They made up the bulk of the diet of the predatory nexu, a species that hunted in Cholganna's cool forests using their infrared vision to spot warm-blooded prey. The rats were more common than Cholganna's arboreal octopi.
