Freshwater eel

A type of freshwater eel lived in several waterways on the planet Siline. These eels were eaten by Silinese due to their appetizing flavor. They were known for their hooked, curling teeth which they used to filter tiny crabs from the water for food. Though they were not predatory towards Silinese, they were known to bite hands which got too close to their lairs.

During the survival portion of the Crowning Convocation held in 134 BBY, Jedi Padawan Jecki Lon strategized her approach to finding food. Though her primary strategy was to find uavin trees for their fruit, her backup plan was to fish for the eels in a brook she found.
