Houjix

The houjix were a species of quadrupedal cephalopod native to the planet Kinyen. These predators had toothy mouths and possessed the ability to generate bio-electric shocks, which could send electrical jolts through prey. They were rumored to be a popular pet on Kinyen, the Gran homeworld.

The houjix was commonly represented as one of the holographic pieces in the game dejarik. By at least 11 ABY, a houjix was one of several creatures and gladiators belonging to species featured in dejarik that fought both Mandalorian Din Djarin and Rotta the Hutt in the Pits on the moon Shakari, before Rotta threw the creature at the laser fence and the houjix's electrical joints short-circuit the arena's defense grid allowing all the other gladiators to escape and wreak havoc in the city.
