Kintan strider

Kintan striders were a species of silicon-based lifeforms from the planet Kintan who were intelligent enough to use simple tools. These beasts were burly, massive, and monstrous. Their appearance was used for one of the holographic pieces in the game dejarik. Tasu Leech, topboss of the criminal Kanjiklub gang, owned a Donderbus blaster pistol whose handle was made from the ulna of a Kintan strider. They were the namesake of the Kintan Striders Gang, a gang of Niktos active on Tatooine in the early New Republic Era. By at least 11 ABY, a Kintan Strider was one of several creatures and gladiators belonging to species featured in dejarik that was unleashed upon the Mandalorian Din Djarin and Rotta the Hutt in the Pits on the moon Shakari, almost killing Djarin with its club and knocking a Mantellian Savrip down before escaping the arena and wreaking havoc on civilians.
