Mantellian Savrip

Mantellian Savrips were a semi-sentient, but technologically primitive, reptilian species from the planet Ord Mantell whose appearance was used for one of the holographic pieces in the game dejarik. Large in size, they had gray skin and horned heads with red eyes, attached to their upper torsos by long necks partially covered in strands of orange hair. Mantellian Savrips had a pair of long, powerful arms that terminated in claw-tipped, four-fingered hands and two short legs with three-toed feet. Although Mantellian Savrips had a humanoid body with only two legs, they tended to often move on all fours in a bent posture, by using their long arms, that reached the ground, like two extra legs. These brutes seemed to delight in brawling.

Earning fame, Kalhar was a Mantellian savrip who found work as a gladiator and brawler. By at least 11 ABY, a Mantellian savrip gladiator was one of several creatures and gladiators belonging to species featured in dejarik that was unleashed upon the Mandalorian Din Djarin and Rotta the Hutt in the Pits on the moon Shakari. The savrip gladiator battled both Rotta and Djarin with the Mandalorian using a Monnok staff to help holding the gladiator off before a Kintan strider knocked both Djarin and the savrip down. The savrip escaped the arena with the others and wreaking havoc on civilians.
